Fire Damper, Associated Steel Work Installation & Inspection

We have completed numerous works for Air Technology Systems Ltd and have built up a fantastic relationship and becoming their preferred supplier for all Rope Access works.

We first undertook a Pre work analysis (site survey) to firstly ascertain whether Rope Access was viable and the safest method. This allows us to gather essential information to construct a site specific Hazard identification, risk assessment & method statement

We worked closely with ATS and the design team, together we measured all 8 shafts to enable bespoke steel work and fire dampers to be manufactured.

Approximately a year after installation we carried out a drop test of all dampers.

Not only was this working in a confined space but advanced rigging techniques were also utilised. At all times we worked to the White Dragon Access Rope Access Operations Procedure. This allowed us to work safely in a controlled environment. No consideration had been given during its construction to the access needs of the future. Between White Dragon Access and ATS we installed access panels to the upper duct work. This allowed technicians, steel work and dampers to be lowered into the shaft.

Utilising White Dragon Access Ltd provided a cost effective and safe method of completing the work scope. We were involved from day 1 to completion. We were flexible in our approach to the work sometimes working out of hours and weekends to satisfy both tenants and building owners. Thanks was given on completion from all that were involved.
